S&R Tennis Policies and Procedures

Court Reservations

The Covid-19 pandemic has necessitated changes in how members will access the tennis courts.  Staff will be required to document play activity on all courts as a safety measure. If someone tests positive for Covid-19 and has recently played tennis at the club, we will have to be able to chart the member’s play time/date and who they played with as a means to notify the health department and other players on the court. So long as these safety measures are in place, members will be required to book a court in advance and sign in at the pro shop. When the tennis facility opens, court reservations can be made by calling the pro shop at 614-451-2314 or emailing the pro shop at snrtennisproshop@gmail.com.  We want to ensure that all members have the opportunity to make use of the courts. Court booking times will be limited to 2 hours, a member will only be able to book one court a day, and the number of guests may be limited. There may be some flexibility in court bookings when the courts are not busy.

Court Safety Measures

Each playing side of every court will be furnished with access to hand sanitizer, though we encourage members and guests to bring their own to the facility.  End-cap courts will have chairs for players, spaced no less than 6 feet apart.  Please do not move the chairs.  Do your best to wipe down your chair after your match/lesson is completed.  Our staff will monitor the facility and we will make sure the facility is property sanitized; however, we encourage members and guest to help keep the facility safe.  The restrooms will be open for use and will be properly sanitized by staff.

Members and guests need to provide their own water and towels.  Extra apparel is also recommended.  It will be a hot summer, please keep that in-mind.  Water bottles will be made available at the pro-shop, member accounts will be charged.

Hours of Operation

The facilities will open at 8 am and close at 11 pm (court lights are automatically shut off at 11 pm).  Per the Covid-19 Policies & Procedures, when your timed court reservation ends, please exit the facility in a reasonable time-frame.  We ask that members abide by the regulations in place, no social gathering after your tennis match/lesson ends.  There will be no guest services, tables, chairs etc.

Guest Fees

  • $10 per guest
  • Members must check their guest in at the tennis pro-shop
  • Guest fees are for the tennis facility and do not include the fee for the pool facility
  • Guests are limited to a total of eight (8) court bookings during the season.

Pro-Shop Amenities

Access to the pro-shop during Covid-19  is for staff only. The pro-shop will be stocked with tennis balls and essential need apparel such as grips, wristbands, headbands, visors and hats.  Also keep in mind S&R is rolling out new apparel with the S&R logo, which will be made available in June/July. The pro-shop will also provide stringing services (please thoroughly sanitize your racquet prior to submitting it for stringing).

Tennis Programs

  • Until further notice, all S&R tennis programs are classified as “to be determined” amid Covid-19 safety precautions.
  • GCTA has announced their intentions to have a league this season, reportedly starting the third week of June.  We will upload a schedule as soon as it is available.
